About Me

Welcome to New Momma Survival!

About Me:

I had originally started this blog in 2013 when my son was a baby and I had just out here to CO. I was lonely and honestly just bored being a new stay-at-home mom. So New Momma Survival was born. Unfortunately, I got lazy.. or busy, who knows… and I never pursued my blog until just last year! Now my son will be 6 in January and I feel like I am getting the hang of this motherhood thing. (most days anyways)

This is where I love to share my favorite products, simple family-friendly recipes, crafts/DIY, affordable home decor ideas, and all things motherhood and lifestyle. I love to support small shops and local Colorado brands. We try to live a toxic-free and natural lifestyle as best we can and I love sharing the best products with my readers!

We moved here to Denver in 2011 from a tiny town in Illinois and have built a life here from absolutely nothing. We were young and had no obligations so we just packed up and moved out here! You can read more of our story and how it all turned out here.

I am a java-addicted, donut loving crafter with a love for the rocky mountains and essential oils. My family and I love to hike and camp on the weekends and the boys enjoy snowboarding and skateboarding. I have a weakness for sweets and I am a sucker for a mimosa. I love brunch, exploring Denver, running through the trees of the Rockies and singing in the car. I cuss a little, enjoy random dance parties in my kitchen with my son, and have way too many vinyls and old books.

I live here in Colorado with my boyfriend Nathan, our son Liam, our yorkie Chewy and our cat Spartacus. We have big dreams to travel more while also making our little old rental house a home. I love thrifting, tea in the afternoons, willow trees and taking baths.

New Momma Survival is a blog for the creative and adventurous mother that is inspired, motivated, and at home when you are here. This is about community, being accepted exactly how you are, and not just to survive motherhood, but to thrive in this stage of life and still do the things you loved before someone called you Momma. Everything I do is on a budget, and I want to share with you just how I do it. From planning parties to putting a cheap but amazing outfit together, I’m your girl. Stick around awhile and please let me know if there is anything you would like to read about!
