Welcome to New Momma Survival!
I had originally started this blog back when my son was a little baby and I had no friends or family out here in CO. I was lonely and bored being a new stay-at-home mom and so New Momma Survival was born. Unfortunately, I got lazy.. or busy, who knows… and I never pursued my blog until just last year! Now my son just turned 5 and I feel like I am getting the hang of this motherhood thing. (most days anyways)
This is where I love to share my favorite products, simple family-friendly recipes, crafts/DIY, affordable home decor ideas, and all things motherhood and lifestyle. I love to support small shops and local Colorado brands. We try to live a toxic-free and natural lifestyle as best we can and I love sharing the best natural products with my readers!
We moved here to Denver in 2011 from a tiny town in Illinois and have built a life here from absolutely nothing. We were young and had no obligations so we just packed up and moved out here! You can read more of our story and how it all turned out here.
I am a java-addicted, donut loving crafter with a love for the rocky mountains and essential oils. My family and I love to hike and camp on the weekends and the boys enjoy snowboarding and skateboarding. I have a weakness for sweets and I am a sucker for a mimosa. I love brunch, exploring Denver, running through the trees of the Rockies and singing in the car. I cuss a little, enjoy random dance parties in my kitchen with my son, and have way too many vinyls and old books.
I live here in Colorado with my boyfriend Nathan, our son Liam, our yorkie Chewy and our cat Spartacus. We have big dreams to travel more while also making our little old rental house a home. I love thrifting, tea in the afternoons, willow trees and taking baths. (I know, that’s kind of weird but I really do love them! I take them almost every night and I make my own bath salts too. They are so healing for the body and soul!)
I do hope you enjoy my blog. I try to be as real as possible and look forward to getting to know my readers as they see a glimpse into our lives!
